Children are the future of this country. It is imperative that we invest in the human resource specially the future of this country. In this connection broad based sessions with all the stakeholders were need of the hour. As a part of the 05-day training course on the captioned subject, the Academy held 01 day training course for judicial officers in two batches. The course contents were practical and meant to sensitize judicial officers with the hiccups that the children face in the present legal system on daily basis. The methodology adopted was participatory and interactive. The topics included legal framework of juvenile justice system in KP, rights of juveniles under international legal framework, international principles of child rights, juveniles justice system process and stakeholders. The roles and responsibilities of different stakeholders was elaborated. Emphasis was also laid on the procedure for taking custody of juveniles, separating its case from adult accused and legal assistance to juveniles.
