The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy conducted 10-day Post-Promotion Statutory Training on “Leadership and Management” for the District & Sessions Judges from 4th to 13th December, 2023.
The inaugural session was presided over by Mr. Justice Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, hon’ble the Chief Justice, Peshawar High Court/ Chairman Board of Governors of the Academy. Ms. Farah Jamshed, Director General KPJA welcomed the distinguished guest & participants. In her welcome address she aspired that the training would sharpen their leadership skills & attitude. In his key note remarks, the Chief Guest stressed the participants not only to ensure administration of justice, but impartially and with integrity.
The training comprised of discourses, discussion and workshops on “Leadership”, “Role & Responsibilities of District & Sessions Judges in Changing World”, “Human Resource Management Essentials: Exploring Core Concepts and Applications”, “Professional Grooming”, “Evaluating the Bench: Performance Appraisals” and “Strategic Planning & Total Quality Management”.
Mr. Justice Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, hon’ble the Chief Justice and Mr. Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, hon’ble Senior Puisne Judge, Peshawar High Court, interacted with participants in an informal session held on 9th December, 2023.
To enrich the learning experience of the participants, 3- day “Professional Exchange Training Program was organized with Federal Judicial Academy at Islamabad”. Participants were engaged in discourses on “Team Building”, “Management Communication Skills”, “Emotional Intelligence”, “Artificial Intelligence” besides individual command task and syndicate discussions.
The concluding ceremony of the training was held in Federal Judicial Academy (FJA) on 13th December, 2023. Honorable Mr Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, Judge Supreme Court of Pakistan graced the ceremony as its chief guest. Director Generals and Faculty of both the academies were in attendance. Ms. Farah Attaullah, Class Representative, in her remarks regarded the training as practical and relevant and expressed gratitude to both the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federal Judicial Academies, for arranging the same. Ms. Farah Jamshed, Director General KPJA extended the vote of thanks to the Chief Guest. She also appreciated the support of the Director General Federal Judicial Academy for arranging the Professional Exchange Program. Hon’ble the Chief Guest highlighted significance of continuing judicial education for judges. He also interacted with the participants about the lesson learnt and key takeaways from training. Participants were awarded certificates on completion of training. Class Representative and the Director General KPJA presented souvenirs to hon’ble the Chief Guest. Both the Director Generals also exchanged souvenirs.
