Ten-days pre-service training (PST) programme for newly appointed Additional District & Sessions Judges/ Izafi Zilla Qazis has commenced from 3rd June, 2024. Twenty-two newly inducted Additional District & Sessions Judges from across the province are participating in the training. This training is compulsory for probationers.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Mr. Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, Hon’ble the Chief Justice, Peshawar High Court, Peshawar / Chairman, Board of Governors, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy.
Inaugural ceremony was also attended by Worthy Registrar PHC, Principal Staff Officer to Hon’ble Chief Justice, PHC, Mr. Jahanzeb Shinwari, Director General, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA), Mr. Zia ur Rahman, Dean Faculty and other officers of the Academy.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with the recitation from the Holy Qur‘an. Director General KPJA formally welcomed the participants in his speech. He presented an overview of the training course.
The Honorable Chief Justice extended a warm welcome to the newly appointed Additional District & Judges, acknowledging their dedication to law and justice. He emphasized the gravity of their role: upholding the law, ensuring fairness, and significantly impacting society. He encouraged them to maintain the highest ethical standards. Finally, he reminded them that they are not just judges, but also role models who will shape the future of justice.
