A four-days training session on “Professional Conduct & Skills for Newly Inducted Lawyers of Central Districts” was rolled out by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA) from February 20th to 23rd February, 2023. The training was attended by sixteen (16) lawyers from districts Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera Peshawar & Swabi.
Mr. Muhammad Shoaib, Dean Faculty Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA) presided over the inaugural session. Faculty members of the Academy were also in attendance. In his inaugural address, the Dean Faculty highlighted the objectives of the training program. He expressed the hope that the training program will increase knowledge of the participants and will also improve their professional skills, conduct and attitude.
The program was designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of professional responsibilities as lawyers within legal system. The course content included discourses on “Roles and Responsibilities of Lawyers in Islam”, “Legal Ethics and Professional Conduct”, “Role of Lawyers in Family Cases”, “Practical Aspects of Civil and Criminal Trials” and “Mock Civil and Criminal Proceedings”.
The training formally concluded on 23rd February, 2023. The concluding ceremony was presided over by the Dean Faculty and attended by Directors of the Academy. Mr. Asad Safi, Advocate class representative, appreciated efforts of the Academy for organizing training. He suggested increase in duration of such trainings. At end of the concluding session, certificates were conferred upon the participants.
