One Week Training for “Capacity Building of the Excise & Taxation Staff in Narcotics Control” conducted by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy from 24th to 29th October, 2022, concluded today.
The training was designed for Excise& Taxation Officers of the Narcotics Control Wing of the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The training focused on key area relating to Ethics & Conduct, Orientation to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CNSA Act, 2019, Pre-trial proceedings under Criminal Procedure Code,1898 and KPCNSA Act 2019, forensic investigation, Collection and Recording of evidence under Qanoon-e-Shahadat Order,1984, trials before special Courts, and case study highlighting common mistakes resulting in acquittal.
A visit to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) was also arranged where officers were briefed about working of the laboratory including Chemical Analysis of Narcotic Substances.
The concluding ceremony was chaired by the Director General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy. Engineer Dr. Eid Badshah Director Narcotics Control Wing, Dean Faculty and all Directors of the Academy attended the ceremony. Class representative in his remarks regarded the training as relevant and effective, suggested for including mock activities and enhancement of training duration. Certificates were conferred upon the participants on the completion of training. The participants gifted trees and planted them at the Academy premises, as a part of green initiative.
