On 12 October 2013, the KP Judicial Academy organized a day-long seminar on Prison Laws and their Human Rights Compatibility. Participants included judges, lawyers, prosecutors, probation and parole officers, prison officials and medical doctors working in prison. Mr. Hayat Ali Shah, the Director General welcomed the participants. Barrister Dr Adnan Khan, Director Research & Publications and Qazi Attaullah, Director Instructions, were the Resource Persons; they respectively talked on the Legal Framework of Prison Laws and the latter and Treatment of Prisoners: International Standards. The seminar was concluded with a short address by Mr. Salim Khan, Senior Director Administration, who distributed certificates among the participants.
