In a simple but impressive ceremony, the training of the trainers program for 15 Judicial Officers and 20 Prosecutors was launched in the newly refurbished auditorium of the K.P Judicial Academy. The six-day course was kicked off with the recitation of Holy Quran and a joint Duá offered by Mr. Muhammad Saleem Khan, Senior Director Administration. Mr. Hayat Ali Shah the Director General of the Academy welcomed both groups of the participants. Dr. Khurshid Iqbal, Dean Faculty gave a briefing about the aims and objectives of the course. Dr Sohail Shahzad, Training Specialist, UNDP gave an overview of UNDP’s Strengthening the Rule of Law in Malakand project and findings of the TNA conducted earlier. The TOT is a UNDP support project, technically assisted by the Institute of Management Sciences Peshawar. It is expected that the Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court, who is also the Chairman of the Academy, will be the chief guest at the certificate distribution ceremony.
