Training on Optimal Judicial Performance (Holistic Approach to Wellbeing & Gender Based Violence Response) 20th - 22nd August 2024

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy in collaboration with Rozan Islamabad, organized a three-day training on Optimal Judicial Performance (Holistic Approach to Wellbeing & Gender Based Violence Response) from 20th to 22nd August, 2024 at Hotel Elites, Nathia Gali.
Thirty Judicial Officers including District & Sessions Judges, Officers from Peshawar High Court, Additional District & Sessions Judges, Senior Civil Judges and Civil Judges posted in various districts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are participating in the training activity.
Mr. Jehanzeb Shinwari, Director General, KPJA welcomed the participants. In his welcome speech, he emphasized the importance of personal wellbeing and its effect on judicial performance, besides, the link of wellbeing with the GBV.
Mr. Mamrez Khan Khalil, the learned Additional Registrar (Admin) Peshawar High Court as well as the chief guest of the ceremony, while highlighting the significance of the judicial performance vis-a-vis wellbeing of the judicial officers, highly appreciated this effort of KPJA and its collaborating partner ROZAN. He urged the participants to take full advantage of this opportunity, learn practical knowledge & skills from the renowned resource persons and as well as from each other.
Mr. Asif Khan, District & Sessions Judge (D&SJ) and Class Representative, provided comprehensive feedback on the training. He commended the efforts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA) and Rozan for organizing such a distinctive training program and for raising awareness among judges about Gender-Based Violence.
Ms. Uzma Sarwat Halimi, a representative from UN-WOMEN, outlined the organization's initiatives related to gender-responsive infrastructure in courts and capacity building within the justice sector.
Mr. Babar Bashir, Managing Director of Rozan, extended his gratitude for the judicial officers' enthusiastic engagement in the training.
The closing ceremony was presided over by Mr. Jehanzeb Shinwari, Director General of KPJA. In his concluding remarks, he praised the trainees and expressed his hope that the training would significantly contribute to the enhancement of their professional and inter-personal skills. He also extended his thanks to the D&SJ of Abbottabad, the Managing Director of Rozan, and the District Police of Abbottabad for their support in making the event a success.
The ceremony concluded with an exchange of souvenirs between the Academy and Rozan, followed by the presentation of certificates to the trainees.
