Training Workshop for Judges on Trafficking in Persons & Smuggling of Migrants (Batch-II) April 29–30, 2025

 

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA), in collaboration with UNODC Pakistan, is conducting a series of specialized training workshops aimed at building judicial capacity to effectively adjudicate cases related to Trafficking in Persons (TIP) and Smuggling of Migrants (SOM). These workshops, scheduled for April 25–26, April 29–30, and May 2–3, 2025, focus on strengthening the understanding of both national and international legal frameworks and promoting a victim-centered, rights-based approach to justice.

The second batch of the workshop, held from April 29–30, brought together 24 judges from across the province, including Additional District & Sessions Judges, Senior Civil Judges, and Civil Judges/Magistrates.

The opening ceremony was led by Mr. Zia ur Rehman, Dean Faculty KPJA, who welcomed the participants and underscored the importance of specialized training in addressing transnational crimes.

The workshop concluded with a closing ceremony presided over by Ms. Hina Khan, Director Instructions, who appreciated the participants’ active engagement and awarded certificates to acknowledge their valuable contributions.
