The KP Judicial Academy arranged a special 05 days training for young lawyers of Balochistan & KP s Chitral District. This is for the first time, lawyers from Balochistan were imparted training in the KP Judicial Academy.
While the Academy has been imparting trainings to lawyers, a significant aspect of this training is that it was designed in light of training needs assessment findings. The participants were given an opportunity to show gaps in their knowledge, skill and attitude. The gaps so identified were then addressed through course designed. Core topic included in the course were: Drafting of Pleadings and Petitions, Procedural Laws, Case Presentation Techniques, Relevancy and Admissibility of Documentary Evidence, Cross Examination, Key Laws introduced in 2016-17, Legal Research, working as an associate in Chamber Practice, Bench Bar Relationship in the Administration of Justice, the use of Information Technology, and Knowledge of Legal Ethics.
During the training, visits were also arranged to Peshawar High Court, Museum, and other historical places, such as, Masjid Mahabat Khan and Islamia College. The participants greatly enjoyed these visits.
The training concluded on Friday. Hon’ble Justice Qaisar Rashid Khan, a senior hon’ble Judge of Peshawar High Court, Peshawar, graced the occasion by distributing certificates to the participants. He delivered a brief speech on the occasion. The participants also expressed their thanks to the Peshawar High Court and the Academy for arranging the training. They expressed their hope that the Academy will keep delivering such kinds of trainings in future.
Earlier on Friday, Dr. Khurshid Iqbal, the DG KPJA welcomed the hon’ble Chief Guest, explained the significance and details of the training.
