One-Day Training for Court Staff, Police and Prosecutors on GBV Case Management (May 20, 2026)
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA), in collaboration with Mera Ghar, Noor Education Trust (NET), and AGHS Legal Aid Cell, with support from the Government of Norway, conducted a one-day training workshop on “Capacity Building of Court Staff, Police Officials and Prosecutors on GBV Case Management” at KPJA, Peshawar.
The training brought together officials from various districts, including court staff, police officers, and prosecutors, to strengthen institutional coordination and improve responses to gender-based violence (GBV) cases.
Mr. Muhammad Shoaib, Senior Director (Research & Publication) chaired the inaugural and concluding sessions and also conferred certificates on the participants.
The workshop featured interactive sessions on survivor-centered approaches to GBV by Ms. Rukhshanda Naz, Managing Trustee, Mera Ghar-Noor Education Trust, improved case management protocols in GBV cases by Ms. Hina Khan, SDA KPJA and state responsibility for the protection and participation of women by Ms. Faryal Zia Mufti, DSJ/Judge ATC Kohat.
The programme concluded with discussions on ensuring access to justice, participant pledges, and a vote of thanks, reaffirming the stakeholders’ commitment to effective and coordinated handling of GBV-related matters.
