One-Day Orientation Session on Gender Responsive & Sensitive Recruitment Process for Court Staff (July 13, 2024)

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA), in collaboration with Rozan, a Non-Governmental Organization, arranged a One-Day Orientation Session on Gender Responsive & Sensitive Recruitment Process for Court Staff on July 13, 2024.
Twenty-five court staff members from district Peshawar, Swat, Kohat and Khyber participated in the activity.
The objectives of the session were to enhance awareness about gender sensitivity in the recruitment process, understand policies and guidelines of judiciary in making recruitment process gender sensitive, ensure a conducive environment for female applicants, promote participation of women in open competitive recruitment and increase commitment of promoting gender diversity in judicial sector.
Mr. Jehanzeb Shinwari, Director General, KPJA welcomed the participants in the inaugural ceremony.
Mr. Babar Bashir, Managing Director, Rozan, gave a brief presentation on "Understanding GBV, Gender Parity and importance of Gender Responsiveness followed by a practical session on "Best Practices for Gender Sensitive Recruitment Process in Judiciary" by Mr. Asad Hameed Bangash, District & Sessions Judge.
Mr. Zia ur Rehman, Dean Faculty, KPJA moderated an interactive discourse on challenges in Gender Responsive Recruitment.
In the last session of the training, the participants were divided into groups to exercise working out gender responsive activities.
Certificates were distributed amongst participants by Director General, KPJA.
