PRE-SERVICE TRAINING FOR CIVIL JUDGES-CUM-JUDICIAL MAGISTRATES (18 SEP – 22 OCT, 2024)

6th Pre-Service Training (PST) of the newly recruited Civil Judges-cum-Judicial Magistrates/Illaqa Qazis started in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy Peshawar today. The Pre-Service Training was inaugurated in a simple but graceful ceremony at KP Judicial Academy. 
Mr. Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, hon’ble the Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, Peshawar / Chairman Board of Governors, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy, Peshawar graced the inaugural ceremony as chief guest.
Mr. Justice Ijaz Anwar, Senior Puisne Judge, Peshawar High Court, Peshawar / Vice Chairman Board of Governors, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy, Peshawar and Barrister Ikhtiar Khan, Registrar, Peshawar High Court, Peshawar also graced the occasion by their presence.
Mr. Jehanzeb Shinwari, the Director General of the Academy, Mr. Zia ur Rehman, Dean Faculty, Mr. Aurangzeb, Station Director Radio Meezan, Mr. Dost Muhammad Khan, Senior Director Administration, Dr. Qazi Attaullah, Senior Director (R&P), Ms. Hina Khan, Director Instruction-I, Ms. Fayal Zia Mufti, Director Instruction-II, Mr. Wajid Ali, Director Instructions-III, Mr. Lal Shah, Director IT, Syed Mansoor Shah Bukhari, Senior Officer (R&P) and Mr. Sajid Amin, Admin Officer were also present on the occasion.
Mr. Jehanzeb Shinwari, the Director General, KP Judicial Academy warmly welcomed the trainees and presented an overview of the training course. Mr. Zia ur Rehman, Dean Faculty, Academy, briefed the participants about the course contents and Academy in detail.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, hon’ble the Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, Peshawar / Chairman Board of Governors, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy, Peshawar congratulated the participants to reach this significant milestone and adopting illustrious career as judicial officers. They were sensitized about their role as guardians of justice. It was highlighted that this noble profession is not about formal or barren legalism, it’s about upholding the principle of fairness, equality and compassion. The participants were apprised to adhere to the principles of impartiality, respect, and integrity.
The ceremony was followed by formal academic sessions.
