KP Judicial Academy Launches AI Training for Staff of Peshawar High Court(June 21, 2025)

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA) has launched a specialized training program titled “AI Tools for Court Staff” for the secretarial personnel of the Peshawar High Court. The one-day training, designed by Ms. Hina Khan (Director Instructions-I) and finalized under the guidance of Director General Mr. Jehanzeb Shinwari, aims to enhance the digital capacity of Court Secretaries, Private Secretaries, and Senior Scale Stenographers.
The training addresses the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in legal support functions such as transcription, legal drafting, document handling, and research. With the justice sector entering an era of digital transformation, this initiative reflects KPJA’s commitment to professionalism, excellence, and diversity in judicial training.
Renowned AI and computer science expert Dr. Omar Usman Khan, Director at FAST-NUCES Peshawar, delivered lectures and conducted practical sessions on advanced tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek, LLAMA, Qwen 2.5, and Grok.
The hands-on training allowed participants to explore the applications of generative AI in judgment writing, document summarization, legal research, and automating repetitive administrative tasks. Special emphasis was placed on the ethical use of AI in judicial environments, data privacy, and responsible deployment.
The program is being conducted in five weekly batches, every Saturday from June 21 through July 26, 2025, ensuring that all nominated staff of the Peshawar High Court can participate without disrupting court operations.
The training concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony followed by lunch.
