The Information Technology (IT) Wing of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA) is responsible for the strategic planning, oversight, and direction of the institution's ICT infrastructure, resources, and services. As the digital backbone of the Academy, the wing ensures that advanced technology is integrated into every aspect of judicial training and administrative governance.

The IT Wing manages a comprehensive technological ecosystem that includes the oversight of more than 200 devices and workstations. It is responsible for maintaining the Academy’s high-speed network infrastructure, ensuring dedicated bandwidth and seamless internet access for each functional wing to support daily operations and research.

The wing plays a critical role in modernizing judicial education through the management of a blended learning environment:

  • Learning Management System (LMS): The wing oversees the Academy’s LMS (Moodle), which serves as the central hub for training materials, user management, and the online learning repository.

  • Assessment and Evaluation: The IT Wing facilitates pre-training and post-training online assessments and manages digital resource person evaluations to ensure high academic standards.

  • Live Monitoring and Livestreaming: Classrooms are equipped with high-definition video recording and photography capabilities. The wing manages the live-streaming of classroom activities to the offices of the Director General and Dean Faculty for real-time monitoring of pedagogical activities.

  • Video Conferencing: Utilizing specialized platforms like Polycom and Zoom, the wing supports remote participation and international collaboration.

 

To enhance institutional transparency and efficiency, the IT Wing implements several digital governance tools:

  • E-Office Systems: Management of the File Tracking System and the transition toward a paperless e-office environment.

  • Biometric and Administrative Tracking: Oversight of the biometric attendance system, assets tracking databases, and the digital payroll system.

  • Digital Library: Maintenance of the KPJA e-Library and online library catalog, providing 24/7 access to legal databases, journals, and research reports.

 

The IT Wing is responsible for the continuous maintenance and updating of the Academy’s official website (kpja.edu.pk) and the Radio Meezan portal. It also manages the institutional communication infrastructure, including Google Workspace (Email and Drive) and official WhatsApp groups for rapid coordination with judicial officers and stakeholders. Additionally, the wing manages the technical design and printing of certificates conferred upon the successful completion of training programs.
