ZIA UR REHMAN

We are honored to welcome Mr. Zia ur Rehman, a distinguished District & Sessions Judge, currently serving as Secretary Al Mizan Foundation, and an accomplished judicial officer with over two decades of multifaceted experience in the justice sector.
Judge Zia is a graduate of LL.B (Hons) Shariah & Law from the International Islamic University Islamabad, where he secured first position with distinction. Throughout his judicial career, he has served in numerous key roles — including Civil Judge, Senior Civil Judge, Judge Family & Juvenile Courts, Additional District & Sessions Judge, and currently as Dean Faculty at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy.
He has held pivotal administrative positions such as Director Instructions at KPJA, Legal Draftsman at Peshawar High Court, and Director Regulations at the Secretariat for District Judiciary. His contributions include drafting the District Judiciary Monitoring & Evaluation Policy (2020–2025), developing civil and criminal case management frameworks, and supervising court digitization and automation projects in Mansehra.
A certified Master Trainer on Gender-Based Violence and Alternative Dispute Resolution, Judge Zia has trained judicial officers, prosecutors, police officials, and young lawyers at premier institutions including the Federal Judicial Academy, Provincial Services Academy, and KP Judicial Academy.
He is also an active researcher with several judicial publications, including empirical studies, performance audits, and manuals on case management and dispute resolution.
His breadth of knowledge, practical insight, and dedication to judicial education make him an invaluable resource person for this training.
