One-day training workshop on “Capacity Building of Court Staff, Police Officials and Prosecutors” (April 2, 2026)

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA), in collaboration with MeraGhar, Noor Education Trust (NET), and AGHS Legal Aid Cell, with support from the Government of Norway, conducted a one-day training workshop on “Capacity Building of Court Staff, Police Officials and Prosecutors” at KPJA, Peshawar.
The workshop brought together 32 participants from various districts, including court staff, police, and prosecution officials, focusing on strengthening coordinated responses to gender-based violence (GBV) and improving case management practices.
Ms. Hina Khan, Acting Director General KPJA, chaired both the inaugural and concluding sessions and also conferred certificates upon the participants.
Key sessions included “Understanding Gender-Based Violence: Survivor-Centered Approaches” by Ms. RukhshandaNaz, “Improved Case Management Protocol in GBV Cases” by Ms. Hina Khan, and “State Responsibility to Ensure Participation, Prevention and Protection of Women” by Ms. Faryal Zia Mufti.
The workshop concluded with reflections on ensuring access to justice and a renewed commitment by participants to strengthen institutional responses to GBV.
