As per statutory mandate and under special directives of the August Peshawar High Court, KPJA conducted a 02-Day Seminar on Proposed Amendments in Criminal Procedure Code 1898 and Pakistan Penal Code 1860 proposed by the Ministry of Law, Federal Government. The seminar was attended by a cross section of participants from justice sector. During these two days a comprehensive brainstorming discussion took place on the proposed amendments. The recommendations of this seminar will play a crucial role in bringing the relevant sections of CrPC and PPC in consonance with the modern day needs of the criminal justice system. This will greatly help in improving the criminal justice system for the common litigants. The honorable Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court Peshawar, Mr. Justice Yahya Afridi also graced the occasion and interacted with the participants during the deliberations.
