03 Day- Training of Trainers (TOT) on Gender-Based Violence for Court Staff (29-31 January, 2024)

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy held03 Day- Training of Trainers (TOT) on Gender-Based Violence for Court Staffwith support of UNDP. Participants included Judicial Officers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
The aim of the activity wasto orient potential resource persons from the Judges of District Courts working under the Administration control of Peshawar and Balochistan High Courts, to deliver upcoming GBV orientation sessions for the court staff in the two provinces.
The training highlighted the” Challenges for Survivor to Access to the Justice System”, “Survivor-Centric Court Processes” including discourses on “Components of women’s access to justice”, “International and National best practices”, “Training Methodologies and Tips”and “Handling GBV victims/ survivors”.The participants engaged in the trainingwere prepared to deliver a session and to practically demonstrate teaching methodologies.
Formal concluding ceremony was held at the end of the activity on January 31st, 2024. Ms. Sadia Arshad, Class Representative, shared her views while Mr. Arshid Jan, Deputy Program Manager, Rule of Law Program, UNDP Pakistan, talked about the vision of UNDP regarding future activities in collaboration with Judicial Academies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Ms. Farah Jamshed, Director General, KPJA in her concluding remarks expressed hope that participants will put into practice newly learned knowledge and skills in their respective districts.
