5–Day Training on Professional Conduct & Skills for Newly Inducted Lawyers of Bannu, Karak, Kohat, Lakki Marwat & Peshawar Districts (January 16th – 20th, 2024)

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy conducted05-day training program on professional conduct and skills for newly inducted lawyers. The program is scheduled to continue from 16th to 20th January, 2024. A cohort of twenty young lawyers hailing from District Peshawar, Bannu, Karak, Kohat, and Lakki Marwat attended the training.
Ms. Farah Jamshed, Director General, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy, presided over the inaugural session. In her opening address, she emphasized goals of training programme that aimed at enhancing capacity of lawyers. She expressed her convictionth at the training curriculum would equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes necessary for professional success.
The training program focused on empowering participants through professional development and capacity building. Core legal areas like evidence law, adhering to legal and professional conduct, and navigating criminal matters including bail procedures were taught.
The training included practical workshops to improve essential skills as participants were engaged in mock civil and criminal trials. They also explored techniques for managing stress, conflict, and anger, showing resilience in demanding situations. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) was introduced, equipping them with tools for resolving legal issues outside of court. The module further explored the role of lawyers in defending family units during legal disputes.
The training formally concluded on January 20, 2024. The concluding session was chaired by Ms. Farah Jamshed, Director General, KP Judicial Academy. The Dean Faculty and officers of the Academy also attended the session. The class representative expressed his gratitude to the academy for organising engaging training for participants.The Director General congratulated participants on their successful completion of the training.
The certificates were conferred to the participants at conclusion of the ceremony.
