Chief Justice of Pakistan visits KP Judicial Academy

Hon'ble the Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Pakistan Mr. Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, visited KP Judicial Academy today. Justice Umar  Ata Bindial, Justice Supreme Court and Mr. Arbab Muhammad Arif, Registrar SC accompanied him. Justice Yahya Afridi, Chairman, Justice Waqar Ahmad Sethi Vice Chairman and Mr. Muhammad Salim Khan, Registrar, Peshawar High Court were also present on the occasion.  The hon’ble Chief Justice visited various sections of the Academy including Radio Meezan.
During his address, hon’ble Chief Justice strongly advised the under-training Civil Judges to impart justice to the people expeditiously and without fear and favour of any kind from any source. He also advised them to develop full grip on law, including case law, so they should be able to do justice in the process of judicial decision making.
The address of the hon’ble Chief Justice was also heard by District & Sessions Judges of the province via Zoom, a video conferencing tool installed at the Academy.
Earlier, Dr Khurshid Iqbal, the DG, KPJA, welcomed the hon’ble guest and gave briefing about the Academy’s activities. He then presented a shield to the hon’ble Chief Justice. The hon’ble Chief Justice also planted a tree in the Academy and made a group photo with the trainees.
