Concluding Ceremony of Training on Gender Based Violence Laws: Understanding and Dynamics (8th December, 2022)

Two Day Training on “Gender Based Violence (GBV) Laws: Understanding and dynamics” held from 7th  to 8th December, 2022, successfully concluded at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy.
Eighteen lawyers from Abbottabad, Bajaur, Dir Lower, Haripur, Momand and Peshawar districts participated in the training. The activity was supported by UN WOMEN Pakistan. Participants in their training evaluation expressed satisfaction regarding the effectiveness and usefulness of the training. They also expressed their profound gratitude to the Peshawar High Court, the Academy and UN Women for arranging the training.
The concluding ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Qaiser Rashid Khan, the Chief Justice Peshawar High Court / Chairman BOG KP Judicial Academy, as Chief Guest. Ms. Rakhshanda Naz, Provincial Ombudsperson for Harassment at Workplace, Ms. Zainab Qaiser Head of Sub-Office KP UN-Women, Registrar PHC and Officers of High Court, Director General KPJA and all officers of the Academy were present at the occasion. Hon’ble the chief guest highlighted Constitutional dictates regarding affirmative initiatives for women, children and girls and encouraged the trainee lawyers to advocate gender equality, better workplace for women, and provide aid to victims of Gender Based Violence, when they seek their legal support.
