Hon’ble the Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, Inaugurates Online Learning Program at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy

Mr. Justice Yahya Afridi, hon’ble the Chief Justice Peshawar High Court/ Chairman, Board of Governors, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy, inaugurated Online learning Program today at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy, Peshawar. He Said, “engagement of the judicial officers in traditional trainings, usually resulted in delays in disposal of cases. Online trainings will address these issues”. “Now, judicial officers will receive trainings at their place of postings, after completing their court work” he added. He assured that hon’ble Judges of the High Court, will also enlighten district judicial officers on legal propositions, thorough Video Conference. He encouraged the district judicial officers to own the initiative whole-heartedly. He also announced launching of training programs for judges and lawyers at regional headquarters, shortly.

 

He was accompanied by the Mr. Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, hon’ble Judge, Peshawar High Court. The hon’ble Judge assured his availability in the forthcoming week, for a talk with the District Judiciary thorough video conferencing tool, on framing of formal charge – an important issue in criminal trial.

 

Earlier, Dr. Khursheed Iqbal, Director General of the Academy, warmly welcomed the hon’ble guests and given briefing about the e-training program. He stated that the Judicial Academy is entering a new era and is exploring another window of opportunities in judicial education.

 

Mr. Kaleem Arshed, Additional District Judge, Peshawar, shared his experiences with the Judges of the district judiciary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on preparation of decree sheet.

 

The ceremony was also attended by the District and Sessions Judge, Peshawar and faculty of the Judicial Academy.
