Hon'be the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Choudhry visited the Academy

The Hon'be Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Choudhry visited the KP Judicial Academy on Saturday. At the occasion he inaugurated the "Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Choudhry Block" at the Academy.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan visited the Radio Meezan FM 96.6 studios, his interview was broadcasted live. He appreciated the efforts of the Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Dost Muhammad khan  in respect of establishing FM Radio Channel in the Academy. The Chief Justice PHC and Director General KPJA briefed him about the  programs and other activities of Radio Meezan. Radio Meezan broadcasting regular programs on  Legal Education, Legal Awareness, Human Rights, Women Rights, Child rights, Distance learning programs and news on the activities of the superior courts, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan added.

The CJP also visited various sections of the Academy including, Conference rooms, Library, Research Wing and Computer Lab. He was briefed on the Research activities and the online evaluation system for pre and post-training evaluation.

The CJP chaired the concluding ceremony of 3rd ToT (Training of Trainer). The Chief Justice PHC, Judges of the High Court, Registrar of Supreme court and High court, Advocate General KP, Presidents PHC Bar and District Peshawar Bar Associations, representatives of UNDP, World Bank and IMSciencs were also present at the occasion.

The Director General KP Judicial Academy Mr. Hayat Ali Shah give brief presentation on the Academy activities, achievements and future plans.

In his address the Hon'ble CJP Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Choudhry said " I appreciate the efforts of KP Judicial Academy to organize ToT programs which would not only be significant for the future development in the Judicial Education of the provincial judicial officers as well as other stakeholders of the system of the Administration of Justice".

He added that the judicial hierarchy district judiciary is the backbone  of judicial system and majority of our litigants approach the district courts for the redress of their grievances.

CJP said "the training manuals developed by the KP Judicial Academy for case and court management, courts staff management and procedural and substantial laws would surely equip the trainees to meet all the challenges with a practical approach."
