The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy inaugurated training program on professional conduct and skills for newly inducted lawyers from October 23 to 26, 2023. A total of twenty-two young lawyers hailing from District Peshawar, South Waziristan, Haripur, and Mansehra are attending the training.
The inaugural ceremony presided by Mr. Muhammad Shoaib, Dean Faculty (Acting Director General) and was attended by Directors of the Academy. He extended a warm welcome to the participants and, in his address, shed light on the pivotal roles they are to play in society. He expressed hope that the training would significantly contribute to their professional growth and refinement.
Primary focus of this training program is to equip budding legal professionals with a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge, covering various essential aspects of their career. Key areas of the training include:Professional Etiquettes, Legal Ethics & Professional Conduct, Interpretation of Statutes and Precedents, Criminal Trial (theory and Practice), managing stress, anger and conflict at workplace, civil trial, orientation on ADR and family laws.
The training program started with an engaging session on Etiquettes & Mannerism, followed by a deep dive into Legal Ethics & Professional Conduct. Day Two and Three were dedicated to honing participants' skills in Criminal and Civil Trial procedures through interactive mock activities.
