Newly Promoted Senior Civil Judges/Aa’la Illaqa Qazis’ Training concluded

A batch of 19 Senior Civil Judges/ Aa’la Illaqa Qazis, most of whom were recently promoted, participated in a 05-days training programme, which started on Tuesday the 25 Aug, 2015 and concluded on 29 Aug, 2015. The training for these officers was organized just at the right time as they would be assuming the responsibility of a Senior Civil Judge after a month long summer break.

The Director General KPJA Mr. Ziauddin Khattak formally welcomed the course participants and hoped that they would have great opportunity to get oriented with their new responsibilities. The training was designed keeping in view the financial-cum-administrative-cum-judicial functions of the position of Senior Civil Judge. The Resource Persons included Mr. Muhammad Azim Khan Afridi, Chairman KP Service Tribunal, Mr. Abdul Siddique Director Audit, KP Revenue Authority, Mr. Niaz Muhammad Khan, Judge Custom, Taxation and Anti-smuggling, Ms. Nusrat Yasmin, Director Instructions, Federal Judicial Academy, Mr. Amjad Zia Siddiqui, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Dr. Khurshid Iqbal Khattak, Dean of Faculty KPJA, Ms. Sofia Waqar Khattak, Senior Director Administration, and Mr. Muhammad Zeb Khan, Director Instructions. All the sessions were designed to be interactive and participative. Each session was followed by an online real time evaluation system, which included questions related to the very discourse of that session.

The participants were awarded certificates by the Director General. The Class Representative Mr. Safeer Qaiser Malik, while expressing the collective remarks of the batch, thanked the Academy for its successful conduct of the training. The Director General Academy bid farewell to the course participants and expressed his desire that the officers would undertake their new responsibilities with a zeal to serve for the cause of justice and ensure integrity in financial matters. He reiterated that judges should be gentlemen first and gentlemen last in all their dealings.
