One-day workshop on " Human Rights with focus on Fair trial in litigation and Women Rights - Islamic Perspective"

A one-day workshop was held on the "Human Rights with focus on Fair trial in litigation and Women Rights - Islamic Perspective" at KP Judicial Academy Peshawar on May 30, 2013 . In this workshop district and session judges, additional district and session judges, senior civil judges and civil judges of different districts of KP participated.

At the Inaugural session of the workshop the Director General KPJA Hayat Ali Shah and NGO SACH Executive Director Khalida Saleemi discussed the purpose and objectives of the workshop.  Dean Faculty KPJA Dr. Khursheed Iqbal has delivered lecture on Fair Trial while the Director Instructions Qazi Attaullah delivered lecture on the Rights of Women -  Islamic perspective.

At the conclusion ceremony the Chairman KPJA/Chief Justice PHC, Justice Dost Muhammad the chief guest. He said that justice is divine command. This command should not be confined to legal and judicial matters,  rather it ought to prevail in social, economic, political, administrative, public and private facets of our individual and collective lives. The menace of corruption is making the roots of this nation hollow. uneven distribution of resources has made life of a common man miserable. He said corruption has reached its zenith and I fear that the corrupt elements may soon devour our resources, should this practice continue unnoticed.

"Legal injustice is infect, denial of right to fair trial. initially the right to fair trial didn't exist directly in our legal system, although we have obligations under international law to incorporate the same into our constitution" He mentioned.

On the occasion Hon'ble the Chief Justice distributed certificates among the participants of the workshop while the station director Radio Meezan FM 96.6/Senior Director Research & Publications KPJA Muhammad Aamir Nazir presented monthly progress report of the Radio.
