Professional Development Training for Young Lawyers (Sep 24 - Oct 05, 2018)

A Two-week training for professional development and capacity building of the young lawyers was successfully concluded today. 25 young lawyers from 05 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Battagram, Dir Upper, Shangla, Kohistan, D.I Khan (Paharpur) participated in the training.
The training was inaugurated by Dr Khurshid Iqbal, DG KP Judicial Academy. The training course was tailored to the needs of young lawyers to perform efficiently.
The focus of the contents was on areas of legal ethics, Bench Bar relationship, traits of a successful lawyer, legal research techniques, drafting skill, cross-examination, case presentation skill and the role of a lawyer in ADR. Experienced lawyers and judges were the resource persons for the training.
During the concluding ceremony, the class representative expressed his satisfaction regarding the effectiveness and usefulness of the training. He further added that the number, duration and frequency of such trainings may be enhanced. The participants also expressed their profound gratitude to the Peshawar High Court and the Academy for arranging the training.
The Dean Faculty of the Academy, Mr. Sohail Sheraz Noor Sani distributed certificates amongst the participants. In his speech he highlighted the importance of training. In the future, the Academy will conduct more trainings of similar nature for young lawyers.
