The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA) hosted the quarterly meeting of the Coordination Forum of Training Specialists under the project “Improving Gender Parity for Strengthening Gender Responsive Justice in Pakistan”, supported by UN Women and funded by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The session was co-chaired by Honourable Mr. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani, Judge Islamabad High Court, and Honourable Ms. Justice Farah Jamshed, Judge Peshawar High Court.
The meeting aimed to enhance collaboration among training institutions and promote gender-responsive practices across the justice sector. It brought together key stakeholders from across the country, including representatives from the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA), police and prosecution departments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, the National Police Bureau, Bar Councils of both provinces, the National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR) Balochistan, the Home Department, University of Balochistan, and UN Women.
The forum provided a dynamic platform for reflection, strategic planning, and renewed commitment to building a justice system that is inclusive and responsive to gender concerns. Discussions focused on strengthening inter-institutional coordination, exchanging best practices, and identifying collaborative training and development initiatives to promote gender equity in the justice sector.
To honor the occasion, Mr. Jehanzeb Shinwari, Director General KPJA, presented commemorative shields to the distinguished guests.
