The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA), in collaboration with the District Judiciary Swat and Bar Associations of Swat, Buner, and Shangla, successfully concluded a four-day professional development course for over 125 young lawyers from the region. Held from June 23 to 26 at the Regional Headquarters Swat, the training aimed to enhance legal knowledge, advocacy skills, and courtroom ethics.
The course featured expert-led sessions on legal ethics, criminal and civil procedure, family and inheritance law, alternate dispute resolution, and child justice. Highlights included sessions on legal drafting, trial management, revenue laws, appeal and revision procedures, and Islamic legal principles. A dedicated orientation on judicial service exams was also part of the program.
The concluding ceremony was chaired by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Salah Ud Din of the Peshawar High Court, with Director General KPJA Mr. Jehanzeb Shinwari distributing certificates to the participants. Justice Salah Ud Din praised the enthusiasm of the young lawyers and emphasized the importance of continuous legal education and ethical practice in strengthening the justice sector.
This initiative reaffirms KPJA’s commitment to empowering the next generation of legal professionals through regional outreach and practical, values-driven training.
