As part of the 08 Weeks Pre-Service Training for Additional District & Sessions Judges / Izafi Zilla Qazis, the trainee judicial officers of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy attended a three-day Executive Orientation Programme at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Lahore from 1–3 December 2025.
This component of the training aimed to strengthen the officers’ leadership, communication, administrative, and management skills through sessions conducted by senior professionals and field experts.
Day-1: Monday, 1 December, 2025
The first academic session on Effective Communication Skills was conducted by Dr. Jamal Yousaf, an experienced professional in behavioural and communication sciences.
In the afternoon, the participants undertook a Local Visit to the Punjab Safe City Authority, also coordinated by DS Ahmed Jamal-ur-Rehman, where they were briefed on integrated surveillance systems, rapid-response mechanisms, and digital policing infrastructure.
Day-2: Tuesday, 2 December, 2025
The day opened with Tilawat, followed by a session on Team Building & Leadership conducted by Mr. Rafique Jaffer. The session emphasized organizational behaviour, leadership styles, collaborative work, and professional harmony - critical attributes for judicial leadership.
After the tea break, a lecture on Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) & the Judiciary was delivered by Justice (R) Anwar ul Haq. He elaborated on ADR mechanisms, their judicial relevance, and their role in reducing the burden on courts.
Later, the trainees undertook a Local Visit to the CPO Office (Lahore), again facilitated by DS Ahmed Jamal-ur-Rehman, where they were oriented on policing systems, crime management workflows, and coordination between courts and police.
Day-3: Wednesday, 3 December, 2025
The final day began with a session on Change Management delivered by Raja Amir Naseem Khan. The session explored institutional adaptability, reform processes, resistance handling, and modern approaches to public-sector transformation.
This was followed by a lecture on Operations Management conducted by Mr. Samad Saeed Khan, who explained resource planning, administrative efficiency, workflow optimization, and performance management within institutional settings.
The programme concluded with a Certificate Distribution Ceremony, marking the successful completion of the three-day executive training. The closing session was overseen by the faculty and administration in coordination with DS Ahmed Jamal-ur-Rehman.
